I'd say that shallowness expected from Kanye, he clearly is a believer, but he said in VH1 speech that he doesn't like to read, so he probably consulted with some people, and I saw that Selah has many Bible references in it, I think it makes album more authentic, Kanye doesn't really look like a guy who would read tons of pages to come up with some references.

I've ended up going to JIK way more then to Ye, and in JIK I think there is passion even in some less loved cuts like Water. Ye is just a bunch of leftovers with ITAKY being the most interesting part.

But props to Kanye he probably could've snatched some songs from other artists like Hurry or Cops Shot the Kid, but he didn't keep all the good beats to himself.
