Explain this to a (me)
So UMG on all major releases “watermark” all of their files to streaming services. They add an inaudible sound to them. So say if leaked early, ripped, etc, they can tell exactly where it came from. This is not present on the CD version, only streaming. It changes the spectrum of the file a little but sounds the exact same
