While were on the topic of electronic music anyone else fw Nicolas Jaar? Might've had the best 2010's of any producer
f*** it Ye get HudMo and Lunice back to the stu
i wish SOPHIE was still alive, would be dream to see ye and her produce to together
yeah agree i regularly see emoh doing clubs around Sydney, might go one time for old times sakes but hayley really added extra edge. I think Flume has been an incredible influence on Emoh but i don't feel like it translated to his solo stuff. I think the TNGHT hiatus was probably worse but they linked up for couple years now
I thought the second TNGHT EP was a bit of a letdown if I am being fully honest. a bit too out there for my taste.
i saw TNGHT open for Disclosure in Central Park in 2013. What a wild show that was.

yep love nicolas jaar and AAL

2012-2017 is in my top 10 albums of all time
yet Kanye's continued to reference her in his music, interviews, tweets etc. since and no mention of Radiohead or Fiona Apple
that's because Lauryn's an icon in his own genre and someone he keeps in contact with.
that's no reason to think he wouldn't like either of the other two now. Kanye's the type to see the greatness in artists. That's not something that just goes away.

nicolas is fantastic. one of my favourite producers around atm, his side projects under against all logic and darkside are awesome too

Darkside - Spiral is AOTY until CDQ Donda

i think lot has to do with minimalist compositions which don't go anywhere, i think the dance scene has changed a lot from early 2010s i am not too sure they kept up with it
still seeing them together is cool again

i really like the new darkside album, it’s definitely top 10 of the year for me at the very least
do you like 2017 - 2019??
I thought I would like it more than 2012-2017 because I like industrial infused music, but 2012 is just so much easier to listen to all the way through. Both albums are amazing though

its not something that goes away, and I'm sure if you asked him he'd say they're great but its not a major point of reference for him I don't think
its not something it appears he thinks about at all, so its weird to say someones a "fan" in that scenario because they said something positive about them 10/15/20 years ago meanwhile they don't think about them
if I don't actively think about or appreciate something I wouldn't say I'm a fan of it just because I was 5 years ago

yeah that would’ve been awesome

agreed, and i would happily tune in for more of them together.

lol "saying something positive about them" is not what he did though
he raved about them for years. I don't recall all the Thom Yorke quotes but he was big upping fiona for a good 7-8 years

i think they both are great i think this goes for most people that after one two punch Alarm & Deeeeeeefers album kinda falls off cliff for me
while 2012 - 2017 is such engaging listen for genre which isn't known for albums
