I been a fan since Dropout too and like you I was listening to a lot of Cam, Jay, NORE, 50, etc. bc I was lucky enough to have parents with a pretty cool taste in music but man I remember when Ye hit the scene like yesterday. S*** was authentically different.
People don't realize how special Ye been from the rip. I remember thinking, as a 3rd/4th grader, when All Falls Down or Through the Wire or Jesus Walks would play on MTV that this dude was just different man
Yeah I have older brothers who helped introduce me to artists at a young age.

WESLEYS THEORYI can remember what I was doing and where I was at in my life when Yeezus, Pablo and Ye dropped.
Yeezus I walked home with a friend from school freshmen year of high school and listened to the leak of the Yeezus album. Some people thought it was either fake or they were saying "wtf is this s***"? Little did they f***ing know.
Pablo I was a reflective senior and even though I didn't really like the first listen of it that much, the MSG premiere was legendary. I also will never forget the introverted moments of me walking through the halls of school, listening to 30 hours in repeat.
Ye I was in a transition stage in my life and I remember the stream and the warm feeling I got from the Wyoming listening party. Ghost Town really really spoke to me. Like it made me emotional with how much I could relate to it lyrics "were still the kids we used to be".
