im a 2000s baby so i was growing up when these games as they were coming out

i kinda grew up with them but i also didnt know what i was really doing

part of it is nostalgia, but idk i genuinely think they're great games that can and should be revisted

you should at least play mgs 2 / 3 and 5

2/3 have great gameplay with great story. the game feels like a puzzle mores than a shooter so its hard to get used to but its so rewarding once everything clicks.

2/3 is best video game story of all time hands down. rare does someone have such a unique vision. he has that ye quality where he can wear his influences on his sleeves and still create something no one has ever experienced.

5 is a decent story but it requires you to basically sit down and listen to cassette tapes and care about a decades old story that is overly complicated.

people exaggerate how complicated the games are tho. they're actually very accessible and imo each one can be played individually. they all hold up on their own insanely well.
