JonboiI hate this old Kanye narrative. Like, how many s***ty albums has Eminem put out? Jay-Z has duds. Everyone has duds. For some reason Ye is judged by a ridiculous standard. And for what? Ye is a solid little EP! JIK is an ode to a cancerous religion which promotes the opposite of free thinking but, other than that, the beats are vibey and the lyrics match the vibe.
I think it's stupid too and as a fan of all Kanye music I don't agree, but Jay and Em had duds before most people graduated from dial-up, so it's pretty hard to come up with a narrative like that for them.
Kanye started with classics, continued with classics well into the blog era, message board/social media era, and then there was a clear point (Yeezus) where his music became much more hotly contested, and it's continued ever since.

Not really. I’m sure Kanye has some incredible stuff in the vault but I’ve also been through years of people hyping unreleased stuff up, only for it to leak and be wildly disappointing.

tbh that stuff is only hyped up to jack up prices but i’m talking bout the real good stuff kept under lock and key like thank god for d****, so help me god era songs like imagine tom cruise finished etc

kanye has expressed before about “not selling or streaming as much as other artists” like when he talked about wayne’s album with yandhi, so i’m pretty sure his ego won’t let him drop the before or around the same time as drake

Many Yandhi tracks probably never ended up on JIK cause they didn't fit his vision for the album and now won't end up on the next one as he probably has made multiple tracks way better than them.

Well yeah, but he normally just switches stuff up on the tracks to make them fit the vision anyway
