for apple music this could not have been better. They dont benefit from big streaming numbers but from new subscriptions. The LPs have set record high numbers surely encouraging lots of people to subscribe

Oh 100%, all the delays keeping people subscribed for longer. I don't even stream music, I have a huge iTunes library I buy my music for - but I've had a subscription for nearly 2 months now waiting for these streams lololol.
