The thing is, a JIK-type dud is easy to come back from. You can just chalk it up to a wild personal or artistic turn. Same with ye, which was made in two weeks and post-red hat incident.
Much, much harder to come back from an album that was worked on and hyped extensively and is just a 6 or a 7

We made it was always gonna be on here I can’t believe you lasted through 5 weeks of your own copium
Also, album was always supposed to be 24 tracks. We hyped ourselves up to thinking it’d be more but it should’ve been obvious the 24 tracks were LP2 + believe what I say + come to life after the third listening party
