Kanye was def working his way to like a redemptive 8.6 on p4k before the Marilyn Manson stuff lol
F*** em critics but I feel urgent need of at least one actually reliable person giving this album the justice it deserves
How are you feeling about this?
Almost at Come To Life rn btw
Come to Life is one of my faves off the album, with BWIS and Moon. In terms of my expectations, I prefer some of LP2's beat choices, Heaven & Hell sounds less dynamic on the final album without the constant driving kick on the drop, I preferred the drill beat switch-up on Off the Grid, however slightly the two versions may vary, I prefer the LP2 beat. And I'm still more a fan of the more 'traditional' version of Hurricane, it feels like something it never was to me now, not to say the production level isn't insane, which it is. Just a lot of other little things I'm not a huge fan of, like the narrative Ye created with the Donda speech throughout LP1 and 2. But yeah I think I'm gonna put my full thoughts in a more concise piece of text first, sorry for the ramble, enjoy the rest of the album!
Someone on WSE pointed out that the "and I cannot sell my soul" loop in Pure Souls still has a clip of the ending of Roddy saying "entertainers" in the intro and I can't believe I missed that until now

You want more? “Donda” has more, you wretched soul. At nearly two hours, this is a long ride on an empty gas tank. Let’s not waste any more of our precious lives talking about it here.

Donda going #1 week 2?
No
