Sure, his rap is nothing like any of the greatest MC's but his rapping is not what defines Kanye's music career at all. It never has been. It's bigger than rap. He killed the most popular rap format in early 2000's. It's that "Kanye signature" that makes people love his music so much. That's why there is no one like him. And he been doing that for 20 years now and that makes him the most consistent artist ever.
You can hate him or love him but I would say all his projects (even those 2-3 projects you are mentioning) shows exactly why he is a musical genius. God I sound like a Kanye stan
