yeah when he talks about "new music" sounds more like he's already referring to the next album rather than a deluxe

Much like how he previewed God Breathed at a listening party for JIK I imagine whatever he's beginning to work on now we'll see the results of in a year or two

based on the interview i'm assuming kanye has moved onto a new album (or at least the very early stages of one) and LOTP is currently in the track pool for that one. it makes sense considering he did the same thing with god breathed, it didn't make the cut on JIK and the moment he moved onto a new project it automatically went on the tracklist.

idk "the party is just getting started" is pretty cut and dry

obviously he might just scrap it yandhi/turbo style but there is a plan for an immediate follow-up for sure IMO

how can it be too much effort when you pop into this thread to tell us that Off The Grid is mid 5 times a day?

Hey thanks for bringing this up cus this is a perfect opportunity for me to discuss the midness of the song that is called “Off The Grid”. See i’ve always been a fan of artists sticking to being authentic and genuine. I love it for example when an artist drops a completely left field record to the audience, but that reflects their daily life or actual personality with a vibrant originality. This brings me to the fact that i’ve never been a fan of “hard Kanye”. Why? Well first off musically his music has never been meant to be consumed like 50 Cent’s for example. It’s just not poppy enough, not focused on street cred or giving you the business about certain unholy practices. Nah. Kanye shines in other fields for sure, and that’s not to say he can’t rap a “hard” verse. He clearly did on Off The Mid. But there’s something about Kanye going on a drilltrack that irks me. Especially when you notice he doesn’t know how to conduct the beat so it doesn’t destroy your will to listen to each verse. See if you listen closely, the beat that switches under Fivio verse has a few flaws, that obscure the enjoyment of his lyrics. A person like me, i haven’t watched any LP’s yet, so factoring that in, i have no knowledge of the songs progression or any cool visuals that accompanied it during the rollout. Is that bad? No i believe its the opposite. It allows me to judge the music more objectively, without all the other bs cluttering my mind. And if we take all that into account, now may be the perfect time to understand my main gripes with the mid song. Its bassline. What an atrocity. What a failure at making a drill bassline. As it progresses it only gets worse. It completely overrules any merit to the song. The beat itself is also not that impressive. Never been a fan of the mixing of Kanye’s bassdrums unless we’re talking 808s or Yeezus. Kanye has never been that impressive at that. There’s other beats that feel way harder on impact. Neglecting that though, the beat being somewhat dull, we cannot but conclude that this is a doodoo tryhard drillbeat that is primarily ruined by whoever played that awful awful bassline
