MtsiggyI knew Donda would be better than CLB but after finally hearing it it’s not even close.
Donda makes CLB feel so unsubstantial and almost silly, even with kinda goofy songs like Junya and Remote.
CLB is better than Scorpion but it doesn’t seem like Drake really put any effort in, it’s the same formula he’s been doing for the last 6 years.
CLB has 2-3 songs I’ll go back to, Donda has 10+
At least when it was jay vs nas or 50 vs ye it was actually interesting or at least a debate to be had

It’s not Vory’s fault I mean,
He happens to be on songs that are most unneccesarily and kinda off the whole album’s vibe
Maybe it’s because of Kanye’s direction got changed but Kanye adding songs and themes over and over made Vory’s participation, which seems pretty much the first direction of this album, kinda alienated
I mean ppl say one time songs like NCLB and JONAH being their top 5 but all I see is Jail and Off the Grid praises.

man this is way better than scorpion
nah i gave scorpion a spin a few days ago, it's a really really solid album. drake sounds good, it features maybe his best verse ever, the R&B songs are fun and not too serious and there's genuine moments of surprise and intrigue in the production.
this just feels so flat on every level, so many of the switches are either weak or don't make sense, just not a fan.
