Ok, so I've given it a minute to let this album sink in. I thought it was by far the best Ye project since Yeezus on first listen, but now I'm not sure it's so decisive. My biggest problem with it is that there's some super amazing tracks and some good tracks, and then there's some tracks that just sound flat out bad or completely unfinished. If this was the tracklist for the album though, I would def rank it as the best Kanye album since Yeezus:
1. Jail
2. Hurricane
3. Believe What I Say
4. 24
5. Moon
6. Heaven and Hell
7. Keep My Spirit Alive
8. Jesus Lord
9. Lord I Need You
10. Pure Souls
11. Come to LifeCurious which sound flat out bad to you. If there's a problem with the album in my eyes it's that there's a lot of great tracks and then a lot of merely good tracks, which everyone will disagree on of course, but nothing bad.
Also, nice tracklist and all but it's wild to me that when choosing to condense the album to what is essentially a top 11 that Off the Grid and Praise God don't make the cut. I could never see Moon or Heaven and Hell over those. I also can't comprehend the continued lack of love for God Breathed.
