RIP2VI haven’t seen one comment like that yet tbh, it referenced back to his old sounds a lot and retread a lot of concepts from JIK so def not quite futuristic. But a finely tuned complete version of this project + the Twitter snippet Donda and Life Of The Party would be TLOP level imo, so I hope Ye delivers a finished piece here.
yeah, if what we heard tonight deserves any sort of discography comparisons, it would definitely be jesus is king and the life of pablo. mainly for the lazy songwriting (jik) and the wide variety of different sounds (tlop). people only bring up yeezus because a lot of people didn't like that album at first, and they're hoping it's the same case here, but i really don't think it is

This is a notch below anything Kanye has ever done. You don’t know music if you think you heard a single “song”. They were barely demos

Ye's good at making very "scrappy songs" but if the idea is complete it's complete; mixing and mastering is part of the musical process
I feel like poor mixing is part of kanye's "aesthetic brand" now
