what r u talking about man, the sun has always been depicted as God because it emanates life endlessly. We and every other life form on this planet are emanations of that source. Some religions throughout time have literally worshipped the sun through paganism, others have just acknowledged the clear parallel of the sun and God. Nothing about the sun is inherently pagan or ritualistic, simply reaching towards it and using it as a allegory for God is normal and cool

Portraying God as the Sun is not something traditional and is something Kanye clearly did with the 2020 Donda cover, the two Nah Nah Nah covers, the Emmanuel cover... But the symbolism is pretty obvious and straightforward. I don't see how it's worse than Christians traditionally depicting Jesus as God, or depicting the Father as a hand coming from heaven or even as an old man, or depicting the Holy Spirit as a dove...
