None of this surprises me from a “Kanye making ethically questionable choices in favor of whatever benefits himself” standpoint honestly. The “let the kids have the music” thing was largely self-serving at the time as well

    Facts .

He made us join Tidal and said it would never ever come to another steaming service

dudes already a billionaire this is really a greedy marketing tactic

what happened to “let the kids have the music”

now you’re the chosen one to save song writers?

You’re acting like the album won’t immediately be ripped and leaked online when the files are available on the Stem Player

In this case everyone wins — people that want to support Kanye can buy a Stem Player if they’d like, and the people that don’t want to spend $200 on that will be able to easily find the album online, and Kanye is definitely aware of that

    Monky business

“the kids” spend hours every day creating distrokid accounts to put carti leaks on DSPs. They will be fine

This is what I’m saying, why are people ITT acting like the album isn’t gonna leak regardless

Everybody wins in this situation, except the streaming services which is a good thing

no way 6k people bought it

i can see it. its a really small number compared to the amount of people who saw that Stem Player post, but since each is $200 he's banking easily

that's not even 10% of the supply he had available that they sold. He said they had 67,000 in stock and make 3,000 a day
