As a producer who records artists and performs live I can absolutely relate to what was occurring in this show, for non musicians think of it like lag in a video game. The music was playing in their ears as we heard it, but the audio of the microphones was lagging behind due to 'latency' meaning when the artist speaks they hear their voice a few milliseconds after. This can be as jarring as hearing an echo of your voice on someones mic in discord. I can't say that RF interference was the cause in an open stadium, likely it could have been down to plugins causing latency along the vocal chain. For instance, if I'm recording an artist with reverb, delays, eq etc all on in real time (without lowering buffersize / activating low latency mode) the artist can't stay on beat as they're distracted by their own voice replaying half a second later.
