While I think NMPILA is better than this, I will say that 30 hours and NMPILA are the most overrated Kanye songs of all time
usually agree with you my guy, hard pass on this one though
420 not for sale
what’s refreshing about this song is kanye’s part the undebatable standout. feel like donda was loaded with songs that were tossups as to kanye having the best part of not
Cuz it was basically camp only from what i can tell
There were 2-3 people that came on this thread to say they were there
I like his rapping on 30 hours more. More witty and concise
NMPILA just dragged too long imo
Yeah 30 hours is goated but nmpila is only a middle tier ye song to me
Great ye verse, great kendrick verse, but for some reason it just doesnt interest me that much
Ye still be recording on an iPhone or nah? Lol
Nah he stopped after jik if you remember the dame dash doc from last year you saw they used mics again
There were 2-3 people that came on this thread to say they were there
Oh word huh yea then that’s weird for sure
It sounds like the vocals maybe are just low quality due to wherever he recorded it, and the engineer basically had to EQ the hell out of it to make it sound good enough for release.
Donda was notorious for some weird mixes of Ye's vocals. They seemed to make his vocals hot on Donda, compared to this one where it seems like they let his vocals sit in the mix more.
I miss the days when we didn’t have to worry about the recording quality of kanye’s vocals
usually agree with you my guy, hard pass on this one though
nah that’s fair lol that’s my unpopular opinion tbh

Literally was just saying earlier
It felt like 2008-2012 where if you saw Kanye was featured on the song, it’s a good chance he would have the best verse or most memorable part.
On a lot of songs on Donda (as much as I liked it) the best parts were the features.
Like Praise God didn’t go Tik Tok viral cuz Ye was spitting “the devil my opps”
Nah Travis weird vocals and Donda’s speech made that song trendy.
a restraining order?
not just unhinged but stupid. Rockefeller Plaza has security. This is NY, we don’t give a f*** about this stupidity and we will call the appropriate person to deal with you
NY is home of the flash mob s***s goin down
Another block on deck? You ilk never stop posting, do you?
"I disagree with this person on 1 thing that I know of, this makes them completely irredeemable and worthy of a block"
y'all act so over the top because you want likes, quotes, and to feel like a rockstar and it's sad. If you really that petty of a guy, just do it without making a big fuss over it you poser

No, I think I saw they are recording with the Shure SM7B, a very popular mic for podcasting and recording vocals. But a lot of artists use it to record in s***ty room conditions thinking it won't affect the recording that much. Reality is, doesn't matter what mic you use, a bad room will make any vocal sound muddy as hell.
That's why pre2017 Kanye vocals have inflections and details we just don't hear anymore. Those details are basically EQ'd out of the mix because if they kept it, it would include room noise as well
fr?
I never knew why his voice changed from TLOP -> ye
Kanye should make a stoner album one day like some kush n OJ s***
just seeing this pete davidson clip about kanye and mental illness? is this new? f*** this guy

I remember him saying stuff back in 2018, wearing the cap "Make Kanye Great Again"
Na Ye slid. the College Dropout bars especially flow so well
NMPILA he's way off beat half the verse and that's a KTT favorite
The flow is def “offbeat” on a lot of NMPILA but he brought real energy and charisma with that verse. He delivered it like he was hungry. Bars were funny too, mad quotables
Let’s not forget he wasn’t really on that wave around that time (“I know some fans thought I wouldn’t rap like this again”). The timing was on point bc people really didn’t think he could rap anymore. That sounds like a verse he actually wrote
Bruh spit like 60 bars on a Madlib track. Followed up KDot and spazzed. That’s a lil more than a KTT favorite that’s a moment fr
I like this new one too though. He def killed it. From a more “objective” viewpoint I could see why someone would prefer his performance on City of Gods bc he sounded more in pocket
