I thought he wouldn’t be able to successful merge gospel and rap. Nobody ever did it.
He actually pulled it off, got legit classic songs on there in my opinion and I feel like you can make a strong debate it was the best album last year.Of course, it’s bottom of his discography and he’s on a down slope compared to first 10 years. But that down slope is literally him coming down from the heavens lmao
Idk about that nobody successfully merging gospel and rap claim. Maybe you mean in as mainstream a way as Ye has, or just the outcome hasn't been as dope as Ye. But I'm sure it's been done before

I feel like it doesn't have a proper sequencing on purpose, he's breaking the mold of what an album is, he wants you to listen to the songs the way you want and manipulate them the way you want
