What I'm about to say isn't about Manson, but there have been so many clearly biased documentaries lately that go on the attack against certain possible predators. It's my least favorite trend in movies/TV right now. I think their heart is in the right place--siding with the victim, giving them a voice, and bringing abuse to light--but I don't believe any of the documentaries make for good reportage or filmmaking.

And I know Berg's previous work, and it's OK to Very Good. One thing that sits funny with me about this one is that Evan Rachel Wood has been trickling her story out, as though she's waiting for everyone to see it in the documentary instead of just straightforwardly telling us every detail. Is that a sensationalist approach on her part, or is that really the best way to get people to understand?
