I don’t speak on this kind of thing often, but silence doesn’t mean peace. It just means you’re carrying the weight alone. And I’ve been carrying what Danny did for far too long.
He didn’t just lie, he built an entire version of reality and handed it to me with a straight face. He let me believe I was the one who didn’t understand, who was overreacting, who couldn't just 'trust.'
I gave him the benefit of the doubt, over and over again. That’s the part that stings the most, not just the lies themselves, but how many times I doubted my own instincts for someone who never deserved that kind of loyalty.
Looking back, there were signs. But when you care about someone, you don’t want to see them as capable of that kind of deception. You want to believe they’re just confused, or scared, or misunderstood. But no, Danny knew exactly what he was doing.
And now? I’m tired. I’m done pretending it didn’t affect me. I’m done shrinking the story so he can keep playing the good guy. I’m not here for revenge, I just want the truth to have its place. Finally.
