i mean new body is an extreme example
but weirdly i felt like selah did retain it's feeling despite becoming christian
how do you think ye feels? he's either forcing it cos he thinks a track like new body has good melodies/beat, or he's almost treating it like he would a nina sample and turning it into something completely removed from what the original was about. he could see it like that. Like Blood on the Leaves or Gold Digger. Like how he interpolated Stronger on On Sight or Wow on All Falls Down.
