Man u just wanna listen to yeezus

I mean yea but I also think that removing past music is a slippery slope that puts the power to control access to art based on the moral code of corporations in corporations hands

aight I am going to keep it 100. Some of y'all got genuine concern or disgust and some of y'all Drake fans rewriting history

Is it not even a lie that he didn't write or produce 80% of his discog?

One day we're gonna talk about how he actually didn't make a lot of his music

yea cuz its like i was saying nothing abt his music is gonna rly have an impact on anything lol besides gaining a little bit of revenue & even then he's gonna get that s*** regardless

i feel like tearing down art from sum1 just bcuz of awful behavior is rly stupid bcuz s*** should be preserved regardless of who it is if its considered 2 have sum cultural value (idk if this makes sense i hope it does)

    Yea 100% agree

You are free to not listen to Kanye's work, no one is forcing you to do so.

But it's not going to be taken off of DSP's, stop it.

If R. Kelly's music is still there, and we have visual evidence of what he did...then no one's ever going to be deplatformed

Is it possible for him to rehabilitate his legacy by changing his views and supporting the right causes for the rest of the life he has left? Can this just be one small blip on a 30+ year career that we’re able to move past eventually?

I just can’t stomach the idea of THIS being his legacy. You can’t really tell the story of popular culture without him so removing him from the history books is out of the question imo. I want to think that he’ll get better and we’ll be back to the DONDA days at least

it’s sad to say but most people who go alt right, don’t seem to come back, when you get into full conspiracy theory bag it’s basically over

  • i think the best question now is how does this all end

he doesn't even have to put that much effort in, just give one half hearted apology and stop talking about politics and he'll be back, but he can't help himself

    80% is a massive stretch

The number is closer to 15-20

And even then, he might not have been hands on in that 20% but he’s still overseeing the creative vision & approach

hating on someone when they are down because you are a stan of another artist vs because they are legitimately saying terrible things is just mad funny

People love Kanye so much that once he inevitably goes on the breakfast club or Hot 97 a year or two from now apologizing to any and every black platform, he'll be embraced with open arms

Either that or he's going to be killed / kill himself

    This isn't tenable.

It definitely sucks but yeah this is pretty much it. He would have to dedicate basically everything in the rest of his life to repentance for this and getting his mental health right for people to like him again.

The problem, and I said this earlier so i dont wanna repeat posts too much but he would be apologetic for 3 years or whatever and when the coast seemed clear he’d be like “you know when I said that hitler stuff it was bad but like, I kinda had a point” just like literally every other controversy hes ever faced in his career.

Coked up f*** no that’s his decision

I think there’s a way back into some semblance of dignity tho because he is extremely mentally ill
    Will take a lot tho

don't start retconning like he was never a good artist at making art. Like I get the disgust but come on now

    That will literally never happen.

He had a 1% chance of that happening before this s***.
