For the record I like Tetsuo and also identify with him. I think he’s a great and relatable character precisely for the reason that he’s portrayed as flawed. I typically hate Mary Sue characters or characters intended to pander to the biases of the audience. I’d rather characters be held up to the audience like a mirror to reveal the worst parts of them to themselves.
