The highs on here are HIGH for me and the lows are not really low.

Selah,Follow God,God Is,Sundays all hitting for me. Hands On and Every Hour are stand outs too.

Its better then Ye and TLOP

idk about comparing it yet but agreed

Feel the same way (well, aside from the comparison with his other albums, need more time to compare it to his other work)

I'm more so basing my first listen reactions not the albuns as they stand now.

I love this more then Ye on its first listen and parts of TLOP too.

I think it's great tbh. Wbu?

Loads better than Ye. Great melodies, great direction for him as a whole, really good music, good vocals, production could have gone a bit further imo but the songs themselves are good which is what matters the most. The production, tbf to it, gives it a really timeless sound. To me, this is him back on form after Ye, which I didn't really care for at all outside of a few tracks, that weren't even that great.

Definitely his best since TLOP and an album that I think only makes him more legendary and will be respected as him choosing to keep things fresh, delve deeper into a style that has always been at the foundation of his music but never focused on for a full project and while the lyrics could have been more focused, he's given us content that is actually meaningful and refreshing. He's delivered them well in his vocals too. He's creating a new space for himself in music rather than trying to cling onto an era that's passed. Even tho that will get some backlash from the stans at first, long term it's a good idea.

No Malice verse was amazing to hear too.. The choir sound great. If Jesus is Born actually happens, it could be even stronger. The choir taking an even more prominent role in the music, a few good features, some Kanye vocals and a few Kanye verses would be something special imo. He scraps projects all the time so might not happen, but given they're together so much and already performing a lot of material it seems doable, could work as a live album like Late Orchestration.

Water is the weakest track to me but even that is decent. I saved every song, something I haven't done for a Ye project since Yeezus, unless you count Daytona.

The fact you love it should automatically make this album a 8 at least lmao. I wasn't sure about how to feel about this at first, first listen was really weird tbh, felt really different from everything he released up to this point. Album is quickly growing on me heavily tho, keep coming back to it. The production and the melodies in here are reminiscent of 808s Imo, and even if the lyrics aren't great (as to be expected) they're mostly heartfelt and heavy hitting in some istances. I have some issues with it(mainly mixing, Jesus is Lord ending abruptly and transition to Kenny g sax solo) but I'm sure I'm gonna love it a lot in a couple months after the hype dies down. Least favorite track as of now is everything we need Imo, and even if water almost got ruined by ye's lackluster delivery, Ant's and choir's performances plus the amazing beat are too good to make it the worst track. As of now its my least favorite of his solo albums, but I'm sure it will grow on me in the following months
