Maybe I just need to digest the album some more but Idk how genuine he feels when a couple months ago he was collaborating with Lil Pump and Tekashi. Then again I don't know him personally and a lot can happen with a span of a couple months

ajrych23I been sitting with this album and it's like a 6.5/10, 7/10 tops. It's good, it's freeing, it's enlightening, it's positive.
But I jus can't help but feel the core of the album is missing. There should be more than 11 songs. I like how all the songs are short, but it feels like this should be a 14-15 track album.
I wish Everything We Need was more fully realized and had the X feature. I wish the outro was a full song. I wish there was more proper verses on songs such as Water. Kanye seems to have taken his time on this one but yet it still seems rushed.
I wish Kanye made an appearance on the intro track and didn't just leave it to the choir. I wish On God was longer. I wish he had more to say on Follow God.
Missed opportunities but the album isn't necessarily bad. Just different. weird cause it's kinda experimental but it's almost like in the end Kanye decided to play it kinda safe as well.
There is replay value in the album as an 11 track whole, but I don't see myself revisiting individual tracks like dat.
Selah, Closed On Sunday, On God, God Is, and Use This Gospel are the ones I'll go back to most likely if I don't end up playing the whole album.
Feels like the album needs 10 or 15 more minutes

U don't like Hands On..We got Everything & Follow god..those are like the best ones
Hands On was hella good to me actually. I really enjoy the feature on it. He really brought home the message Ye was tryna convey.
Although, I didn't list it because it feels like it's not necessarily a stand out. Ik that's weird I think it's hella good but also not a standout... it jus feels a little forgettable.
Some of the bars like when he references the domes or whatever... I mean I get it cause I went on Genius but it's jus kinda random... idk how else to describe it.
I like Everything We Need but it's hella mediocre to me. Like issa vibe for sure, but the lyrics are a little underwhelming. Especially the part about "what if Eve made apple juice?"
Follow God is catchy but what is he really saying :cudi:
