true but Kanye was literally 5/5 with 5 classics at the time MBDTF dropped (plus he produced Jay's best work), nobody else in hip hop had that kinda track record. just sucks seeing him stain his own legacy by making these good projects instead of classics
Yeezus is appreciated in time
We're seeing the same with Pablo
I think the theme of his 2010s is his work being overlooked at first
Even his Adidas shoes got slated when it dropped - now everyone either has them or wants them
I think it's just what life does to artists. I mean, let's be real. Guys like Eminem and Jay have been dropping mid for years. If we exclude 4:44 Jay's been dropping mid since 2004. And those are two of the most raved about rap artists ever. I totally feel you, I would love to get another MBDTF or LR, something on that level. But I guess it's nearly impossible when he's having a family with four children and being involved in other things like SS and fashion surely doesn't help. The fact that he's still dropping amazing music is a miracle when we look at other artists some of which have literally fallen off after their debut lol
This couldnt be more wrong
ppl dont realize how blessed we are ... internet is literally s***ting on an excellent album bc thats how high the standard is for kanye
its ass
and imma say this i think he has at least one more dark fantasy type album left based on this album + leaks ive heard

Did people not like TLOP? Lot of tracks I haven't heard since the first listen but FML, Ultralight Beam, Real Friends, Fade? Excellent tracks.
F*** man one of the main reasons Kanye was dropping classic after classic in that 10 year stretch was because he used features like instruments on his tracks. He had no shame in being outshined by a feature on his own song, but those features often contributed to his best songs. Devil in a New Dress (Ross), Monster (Nicki), Gone (Consequence, Cam'ron), Touch the Sky (Lupe). And without Pusha, Runaway wouldn't be as good as it is.
What's the consensus on Hand's On?
Best song on here along with On God

Search up any of the old KTT1 threads about it. People were straight up s***ting on TLOP and wanted him to just retire.
Now I see people argue it as a Top 3 Ye record.

This album had 10/10 potential if he fleshed out the songs and got more rap verses in there
ppl dont realize how dumb they are talking bout "the album is too short" ... if the problem is that kanye didnt include ENOUGH of his artistry how tf did he fall off?
i remember being somewhat underwhlemed when tlop dropped but it grew on me extremely fast. One of my favorite albums ever now
like i agree and wish that the album was longer. but thats just a rzn why kanye still got it man
