does SS choir get paid? what are they provided? it's been kind of gray. idk where exactly he is at with the church thing.
Yes they are paid by Kanye I believe. He talked about getting the best singers available to him and have them praise god instead of worldly s***
when you're touring with like 100 people and presumably helping provide for them and fund their way from point A to B.. yes
It's a nuanced thing because I think what he's providing people with Sunday Service is really positive and uplifting, plus it's great for the performers to get paid and to travel around doing it, but I don't really like the whole idea of tax breaks for religious organisations

If they are helping the community, it’s fine. If they are hindering and not out reaching to the community, I would agree with you.

Ye said a lot of performers moved to LA to be in Sunday Service so I definitely think so
I don’t understand how Dark fantasy isn’t unanimously his best intro or even the GOAT intro.
twisted fantasy is my favorite kanye album but dark fantasy is one of the worse songs on there. You hear the jumps in volume between the hook and the beat? And the main beat just doesn't sound mbdtf level. Those strings should've been live instrumentation and the drums should have been different. Also ye's delivery isn't the greatest it could have been. could have been such a great track.

If the tax goes beyond accommodating the performances themselves is where I'd find the issue but we don't really know much to say

I don't like that idea either. that's why i really do see it as potentially problematic for him if he is running this like a business in some respects, selling 300 dollar sweaters with crosses and images of jesus next to his name. love the positivity, love ye, but idk man like that doesn't seem like theres transparency issues that he will be ridiculed for?
My friend said he doesn't like Water at all and it's probably one of his least favorite Kanye songs. We were listening to the album in his car and he said he wanted to skip it smh. Kid's lost his damn mind

He said he’s working on the right solution for this in one of the two interviews he did.
Tbh he should treat the merch as tithes, that would be perfect. I tithe by buying the merch and spread the word I think is a great combo. He is still figuring out how to route the profits, but if he does it this way. It will be PERFECT

agreed. and he is already made the right move to not charge for his events. i just like thinking about this stuff, i don't even believe everything i've presented. just spitballing thoughts.

Yeah it’s not transparent (right now) but it’s also all so new. He said he’s not making money on it and it’s costing him instead. He’ll figure a solution for sure. This doesn’t seem like that type of venture
We’ll have to give him time. Not charging for events is the correct thing. I don’t have a problem with the merch. I believe that goes back into the events and can be seen as a tithe
also, not a fan of the fit for the sweaters ($200 for a sweater aintt it) The $50 price range for a tshirt is awesome though, I’ll keep buying those designs on Yeezy blanks. You’re not getting a better quality shirt for $50

yeah i don't believe he is running this show for profit, just being mindful of minimizing expenses as some point is going to be a complicated problem when he is also profiting off of some of it.
love the album, love kanye. i just am curious to see what the next chapters will be here.
I’m about to move into a new crib and need some fire Ye artwork. Pls help me

might have to find the right wall for it
What if the, "I bleached my hair for every time I could've died" line is actually super literal and it's just Kanye talking about how he decided to bleach his hair instead of dying it like blue or something
“but i survived”
