S*** sad cuz glc ibn n don c were all hyped to see coodie n Kanye was distant. This was truly a coming of age story

Only possible bail I’ll shoot Ye is that Coodie indirectly/subconsciously reminds him of Donda bc of how much time the three spent together and the era Coodie and Ye were most linked

But that still don’t really explain why he was clowning dude at LR party

Of course this all 15+ years ago but man Ye has done some funny style s*** lol

Ibn for haircuts and Don C for fashion. He probably thought Coodie’s style was just too raw and not high level after a while.

part 3 had cool clips but it didn't fit with the theme set up in the first 2 episodes

I feel like this shoulda been the first 2 and this coulda been released somewhere else or something. idk it just gets a little messy incorporating so many storylines in the third part vs. the story of ye's come up in the first 2

I mean the difference between then and now is that those seemed like genuine things that we could all relate to and now he reaches to have similar moments like that. The black republican thing for example, he purposely plays dumb to act like people not liking him d*** riding Trump and representing the red hat and it’s ethos mean that “black people cant be republican” Lmaoo he’s forcing himself into an uphill battle/Rebel without a cause bc he’s used to creating from that position

He can definitely play the victim sometimes and make things tougher for himself than he needs to but he didn't do things "we could ALL relate to". Millions of people voted for Bush, how do you think they felt about him getting on live TV and saying that? Taylor Swift stans about that VMAs incident?

And there's definitely a sense of Liberal/Democrat being the "morally correct" way to vote, and Conservative/Republican being the wrong way to vote especially if you're black. Kanye is the type of person to challenge that type of thought that's just accepted without question and he's always hated being told what to do. People switched up and felt he crossed a line because their ideologies and beliefs were being challenged by Kanye for a change

I mean when I say we could all relate I mean black people lol. The taylor swift s*** was lame but the aesthetic and backlash of it gave him his second arc into MBDTF lol.

There definitely is a blind loyalty to democrats among our community but any resentment/backlash towards black people being Republican is a totally separate issue than people not liking Ye standing for what Trump represented or saying d*** rider s*** like he made him feel like he had a father lmao. He played dumb and tried to boil it down to one issue lol. People had a problem with him (in the context of who he was from 2004 till then) supporting the ethos of MAGA and Trump’s rhetoric, not him being black and no longer wanting to support the Democratic Party lol

Black people voted for Bush too, its not like he had no support at all from black people. And they were probably upset at Kanye for doing something like that. I personally know people who praised him for that but still refuse to check out anything he does because now they're the ones he's upsetting. I can't defend/co-sign everything Kanye did during 2018 but people who act like he changed or somehow betrayed them need to think about how this man has been throughout his career

I don't think it's a separate issue tbh, Kanye did all that in the first place because of the sheep effect of "Democrat good, Republican baaad" and he felt like he could relate to Trump because of all the backlash Kanye had gotten over the years for things he had done. And imo he was lowkey salty about Obama calling him a jackass over the Taylor thing, but many people don't even know about that. I don't think people asked why he was doing what he did. They just saw the (I admit, horrible) way he expressed himself and came to the conclusion that he changed and betrayed black people. That isn't as true as they think and this documentary would show them that if they were willing to watch it

Ye a very interesting dude. This is probably the most intimate footage I’ve seen of him. Kinda feels like you know him at this point. Coodie is solid too. Ye needs him around more often

Would’ve fit well on Ye with the theme. I’m more interested in why he didn’t drop it at this point

Didn’t really see or understand how bipolar Kanye is. I honestly thought it was something he said to get away with saying wild s***. But after watching a lot of those scenes it reminds me of a family member of mines that has the same patterns of speech and impulsivity. Ye is really struggling
Makes me think tho, was he always bipolar? Can bipolar be activated through trauma or depression? Is Bi Polar an accurate description for his state of mind?

    So many questions
