SEPTEMBER99i really have the Lyor Cohen letter/deadnaming discourse in mind when i say this.
it's frustrating to me to pretend to speak to someone compassionately while disrespecting them right off the bat. especially when Ye has referred to Kanye as his "slave name" and the immediate discussion is about neo-slavery in the record industry.
i think it is rhetorically ineffective for someone interested in communicating something to insult the person they are speaking to. in general that's my frustration with the response to Ye's rants. i think this could be an incredible opportunity for education about antisemitism. Instead, I believe the silencing tactics being deployed are lending credence to antisemitic conspiracy theorists.
like when you talk about him criticizing "neo slavery" in the industry
dog ye is not principled or healthy/focused enough to do anything meaningful about that or even avoid playing into those sort of practices on his own end
those kind of criticisms are literally completely worthless and borderline disingenuous coming from the mouth of post 2016 ye

guy is clearly deeply mentally ill and also pretty old atp, hes not going to change and hes not looking for reasoned discussion. being polite/respectful has historically not made a difference. wasnt charlie puth calling him ye on IG and literally begging him to stop? did that change his mind?
a lot of us have been ye fans for a minute and its been literal years of this, at a certain point you have to accept that no amount of compassion and acceptance can help a person who does not want to be helped. very unfortunate situation, trust me I get no happiness out of watching a very talented and special person end up like this
