Kanye becoming Christian was inevitable. It feels like the conclusion of his entire character arc

Didn’t you move to LA to work with Kanye hopefully?

(Trying a new, more mature format for this one guys... hope you enjoy.)

Kanye West is an artist that has never strayed from the pursuit of something higher. Since the beginning of his career we have seen these themes. One of his first mega-hits "Jesus Walks" was mistakenly deemed "too religious". As we all know, it went on to set the tone for everything that we would see after its conception.

About halfway through his career, we saw a breaking away from this trend. The release of "YEEZUS" showed that Kanye had taken his quest to find God WITHIN himself. "I Am a God" is quite literally proof of this. But as we all know... we are mortal and no man is excempt from this crippling truth.

A downward progression from this point forward of trying to find God within oneself eventually led to a breaking down of Kanye West's spirit. His search and longing for God had seemingly led him completely astray.

Fast forward a few years and we see this fall into darkness become even more apparent.

But finally, through much inner contemplation and outer-world experiences, Kanye began to realize that he was searching for the creator in all the wrong places. The release of "Jesus is King" marked a new beginning for Ye. Though met with criticism from a majority of his loyal fanbase, the meaning behind the album appears to hold more value than the actual sonics of the album itself.

Now from the current perspective, he seems to be in a much better place. No longer does he appear to be searching.

Does this mark the end of an era, the one that we have all gotten to know and love so dearly? Perhaps an end is simply a new beginning in disguise.

I think he originally thought TLOP was a gospel album and I remember him describing it as one in an interview somewhere but now looking in retrospect like it wasn’t close to one. I think Donda is a way of bringing that TLOP format towards what he’s worked to refine as his version of gospel. I think the break through as he calls it during TLOP tour informs a lot of what he tries to do musically since.

I am honestly not sure what he does musically next.

I have a feeling he peaked with DONDA.

It seems like it's the epitome of everything he's done up to this point.

He took everything that he's learned and applied every technique to this album.

This is probably the formula that the albums after this will follow too.

First of all, great thread man, a very entertaining read @op

I think throughout his career we’ve never seen Kanye stick to one side of the conflict, he’a always been conflicted, whether it be Religious or Non-Religious, Reckless or Careful, Perfectionist or f*** it let’s drop Scoop didi poop. He’s always showing that.

Also I don’t know if you noticed but in a part of his 2020 campaign and DONDA rollout back in 2020 he said he said that the COVID vaccine is the mark of the beast and he doesn’t trust it, fast forward a year and he offered vaccine shots in his listening parties… now I know one’s opinion can always change especially on that topic but I think that also shows how indecisive he is.

Has that page of conflict ended with the release of JIK and DONDA where we’re now like 3 years into his Christian arc and he hasn’t flip flopped yet? Hopefully, but with his recent collaborations with known satanic artists marilyn manson and playboi carti one can only wonder if Kanye’s really firm on his beliefs this time or it’s just something to inspire the next chapter of his music…

Love your comment.... yes I've also caught him being a hypocrite many times. For example. In recent years he denounced the idea of competition. And we all know how thats going.

However, I don't think it's him being hypocritical. I think its what you said about people changing. I think he just changes his mindset VERY quickly.

You can even see it with the kim situation. He seemed so ready to be single... and now.... yeah.

I also change frequently. My Calabasas situation being the perfect example. I also follow the same spiritual process as him though, and when you do, the result is RAPID change and personal growth.

They still don't fully trust me on this site yet man. I was basically "cancelled" after my thread on calabasas.

    Good things take time.
