    Stay inside? You do understand most rappers are extremely poor before a deal which makes them more eager to make fast money. Then what Lawyer is going to review the documents a Record Label gives you?
    If you have no money, no lawyer, then 9/10 you are going to sign a contract that gives you 250k for signing and an additional 250k advance (which you are going to have to pay back).

    I understand that, and if i was in that
    position I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same

    However even if I didn’t pore over every line of that contract, I’d do it with the understanding that a record label giving me 500K obviously means they have a certain level of power and leverage over me
