Kanye hasn’t had a masterpiece album in 8 years
and?? he already released 3 masterpieces which is more than 99% of artists not to mention his other classics
Who cares about messy/unfinished
One of my favourite "albums" is the SHMG bootleg

TLOP and Donda are close to a masterpiece level but i agree
I think we just want cyhi to ghostwrite again. He was there for the peak of Kanye so maybe he just went really ghost after he almost died from a robbery.
Okay and
He’s in his post undisputed masterpieces era like every great artist has, Bowie, Dylan. We’re still getting fantastic music but it’s undeniably less polished. He’ll make some more polished masterpieces in maybe a decade from now or later
exactly
every great artist has a low period
kanye’s is approaching close to a decade, which is normal, especially considering he dropped his last true classic (yeezus) when he first became a father
tlop is amazing but the beginning towards less polish, and then ofc we get where we have been last couple of years. great songs on albums that obviously needed more polish, the man himself would probably tell u that
seems to me that he’s just going with the times and putting out work that most instantly feels good to him, which i can appluad. it is easy to sit back on a catalogue as massive as his, but i’d rather hear and complain about mumble demos all day then never hear from my favorite artist
it’s interesting getting to see this process in real time

perfect thought i 100% agree with you
I've never listened to Donda 2 but I've loved this last decade. You couldn't expect him to just put out flawless albums for the rest of his career, it had to get messy eventually.
I love Kanye but Donda is his lowest creativity wise. It's his safest album.
I felt that way for a while but once it clicked with me I actually think Donda is his best since Yeezus.
Idc as long as theres still an S tier song every now n then like UltraLight Beam, Ghost Town, Reborn, Jail1 & 24
