I don’t know why he signed to 1090 i understand he’s apart of the set “which is weird because he’s a bronx nigga” but i feel like it was friendly extortion that skrap 1090 and OP are doing to the kid he even had to put skrap 1090 11 year old son on his songs and take him on tour

The whole situation these kids are in is incredibly sad.
Drill music, street mindsets and the violence are byproducts of something bigger. The stop listening or supporting drill music argument is tone deaf during a period of when violent crimes are nationally rising or just plain naive cuz if they ain't do it through music itd be done elsewhere. Everytime s*** happens I think this site tends to forget the plethora of niggas this s*** happens to that do not make music whatsoever and would rather blame music than what is actually going on. The best arguments in these kind of situations is to improve socioeconomic conditions or if you want to go the out of sight out of mind route is to push said artists to when they reach success to leave that street s*** alone. But even with the latter 5 minutes of fame is not going to just switch off years of doing dirt automatically.

I’m simply stating that NY radio should support new talent from their city - it’s the music business. They support people from other cities making the exact same music the key difference is they do not break underground acts as they did back in the day. NY radio is simply not a place to discover new music. If Kay Flock was signed he would be getting the same support Pop Smoke and Fivio got @insertcoolnamehere
radios obsolete at this juncture anyway, nobody’s turning to them for breaking music or artists when u can go straight to the source now, only thing they got now is interviews tbh, plus i highly doubt they wanna interview so many crash dummies when the same things keep happening to em

The shooter saw the victim reaching into his jacket (as the video shows), and decides to fire on the victim.
The Victim shouldn’t have exited the barbershop to confront someone walking by.

My argument isn't blaming the music at all. It was more about listeners who don't even think about what they are listening to or the real lives of the people making it.
