Let me run "take it" back a couple times.

The first transition threw me off a bit, but when it goes back to the jazz at the end it's so smooth.

keiyaA drops her second album hooke’s law on XL Recordings. Written and produced over five years, it is a document of survival and transformation, a self-interrogation that rebuilds her ego on her own terms. The record rejects neat resolution, instead embracing contradiction and multivalence—allowing past, present, and future selves to coexist in harmony, friction, and confusion.

The album spans a genre-defying blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, electronic and experimental music. Its latest single ā€˜take it’, co-directed with Caity Arthur, follows ā€˜stupid prizes’ and showcases the raw intensity of her approach. Known for her explorations of Black womanhood and liberation, keiyaA uses hooke’s law to confront anger, longing, maladaptive tendencies, and the rejection of traditional expectations placed on Black women. ā€œIt’s not a linear story with a moral at the end. It’s more of a cycle, a spiral—it’s Hooke’s law,ā€ she explains.

The album follows her experimental stage play milk thot, staged at Abron’s Art Center in Brooklyn, which blurred the lines between actor and audience in a ritual of deconstruction and rebirth. This work set the stage for the radical multiplicity at the heart of hooke’s law.

Callback to her ā€˜milk thot’ experimental play she did earlier this year.

That's what I mean, between the stage show and now the promotional material for this, the running theme of that. I'm intrigued.
