Industry isn't some kingdom where everyone answers to one guy. Its a bunch of millionaire powerful people with legal and illegal connections always infighting, leveraging, blackmail, brand deal, wars & alliances etc... If I (Industry) can't get Drake in line through normal channels, then we'll (industry) try to chip away at him then over time over instances. Drake is partnered with UMG. That does not mean every other A&R rapper producer or label has to like him now or did like him before the new deal. Business is business, Drake got a bunch of free publicity from this (not saying he needs or it it was worth it in that sense) just speaking business terms for why you wouldn't care apart a major brand interest (Drake) being hit they're playing/thinking long-term. IMO

Charlamagne has been in Entertainment/Radio for 20ish years and has been vocal negatively about Drake moments, songs and album in the past don't see how it's speculation. It's now been roughly a decade of Drake or other people saying or alluding to the industry being upset with him/at him. Drake has def generated billions (across promotions/platforms/releases)
