afterimagehe gets no more praise (if not certainly less) than any other critically acclaimed black artist like Beyonce, Jay Z, Lauryn Hill, etc who connects with a large segment of people making art from a black perspective
He definitely gets less praise than Jay Z or Beyonce.
The only difference is his music is a bit more socially conscious so ppl can be more critical with how his actual life is compared to his art

We getting to a point where the angels are starting to realize Kendrick did some serious damage in the longterm we haven’t seen before in a beef with Drake and how it’s uncharted territory.

He can comeback he just needs to f***ing chill for a bit. He’s overexposed himself and people are actively rooting against him.
Give people a chance to miss him again like back in 2017 and he should be in ok standing. But his fear of losing the “top spot” is making him act out and make some poor decisions for the longterm. He should be more focused on preserving his legacy and getting ready to get in the position of someone who’s already had the world in the palm of his hand.
I agree, he shouldn't say much at all this summer. Which is crazy to say considering he kept dropping after Adidon in 2018. Even Going Bad with Meek dropped after that.
At the end of the day I hope this spawns some amazing albums and not some s*** like Scorpion / Views. Maybe a few huge singles sprinkled in but need something actually fire. His output in the 2020s wasn't bad at all.
