That’s part of the reason why I like him as a person as much as I do a rapper. He feels things deeply and puts a lot of thought and heart into what he does. Having that deep understanding of himself was how he was able to tap into the darkest part of him we’ve ever seen on Meet The Grahams. I think Cole realized Kendrick would be able to take it to a place he couldn’t emotionally and that’s part of the reason he backed out. Drake completely lacked understanding when it came to that.

This is exactly what pissed him off. He previewed this song at the end of push ups, had it waiting, and then after it dropped Kendrick just immediately dropped Meet The Grahams.

After that he really didn't have s*** to work with
