That’s fair
Just curious, who would you describe as not background music or having music that caters to an in-depth crowd
I’m not speaking on the part of the audience, but more the artist. It’s people who treat it as such no matter the actual intent.
Obviously for most of the artists on that list they want their s*** to be heard by as many people as possible for as long as possible, and some of them cater to that however they can, but others don’t and just let the chips fall where they may.
Depends on what YOU want out of it.
Bro RIP to juice but they gotta have those stream farms rolling hard. No one listening to him constantly like that.
*With a rap album that has less pop songs than Honestly Verymid
You're forgetting the most important part
Plus that album was fairly unconventional.
WOW THATS HUGE DROP OFF
People really ain’t f***ing with this album
Under 200k easily first week
The top 5 albums in this literally are all from the big 3
They are washed up
Doja Cat isn't even on the list bro
This is not a house album. It’s a house (among other genres) inspired dance album.

“Album of the summer”
It wont even be relevant when summer begins few days lol
Second week drop about to go crazy
Bro RIP to juice but they gotta have those stream farms rolling hard. No one listening to him constantly like that.

Which is sad because it’s much better than his prior few.
yeah I mean how does that say disprove from my original point. When even the biggest rapper out there moved onto the next genre. The next generation of hip hop artist are either dead or in jail. Carti is fire but still far from mainstream especially hit wise.
Meanwhile Bad Bunny and Hary Styles are the biggest artists of that year so far
Hip hop is just not the most popular genre like the years before
Your overall point makes sense, your other posts were questionable
I was talking about this on Friday with someone on how in a standard for the biggest acts now to both genre bend and cross between genres + pop resurgence via culture cycle returning to the 00s and late 90s
You can't say Mr. Morale is a normal rap one album one sec then say it's "scare the hoes mysterious music" the next one. Pick one
Ye doing these numbers at this stage of his career is amazing
YoungBoy is truly exceptional
Which is sad because it’s much better than his prior few.
He could have easily added some singers from different genres
Not sure why he thought doing a solo dance album good idea besides the 21 savage song which is gonna be biggest song lol

House music is dance music
Dance is an umbrella term
Wait the second day drop is worse than MM&TBS; f*** how did Kendrick Stans win so hard lmfaoooooooo
Plus that album was fairly unconventional.
The album talks about generational sexual abuse, trans issues, homophobia, daddy issues, depression, infidelity and features an almost 6 minute track that’s two people arguing over a f***ing Alchemist beat.
“Unconventional” is putting it a little lightly, especially coming from an artist as big as Kendrick.
