Meanwhile Bad Bunny and Hary Styles are the biggest artists of that year so far
Hip hop is just not the most popular genre like the years before

Danhustlol and what did Billie, Drake, Post, Lorde and Kendrick do? Drop boring albums. That's the problem.
It's really not that simple lol. Melodrama is a better album than Pure Heroine but it didn't perform nearly as well as it did (maybe because she took too long off?) but it definitely wasn't because the music was boring. Billie's second album is also really good.

Only if they find someone to replace her. They could already be working on another pop girl right now and we wouldn't know. It depends because some only get 1 album pushed but some get 2 albums like Doja Cat and Dua Lipa. I wonder how record labels decide that

Both Billie and Lorde albums put me to sleep. I'm surprised they didn't flop harder.

Lil Baby is the last hope for the new generation of rappers imo. I want him to have all the success because we need someone to do that. Can't keep hoping on the Drakes and the Kendricks and the Coles to keep being the ones doing the biggest numbers in the game.
