that alliance ended when Kendrick s***ted on everything Drake did for his career in 2013-2014 for internet clout

    U mean control?

tbh Kendrick's 2nd day plummet seems similar to Drake's for CLB

    CLB debuted with 743.67M on-demand streams (714.83M audio on-demand streams & 28.84M video on-demand streams).

Of the 714.83M audio on-demand streams it did, 248.54M streams came from Spotify while streams from Apple Music make up the bulk of the remaining 466.29M streams.

If you wanna compare that with Kendrick's album (which may likely not even cross 400M streams), on Spotify US, it did 81.9M in it's first two days (53.3M+28.6M). My guess is it ends the week with about 140-150M streams from Spotify and possibly 170-210M streams from Apple Music.

Do you see anyone posting Jay Z stats here? Or 50 Cent stats here?

Can't help but feel Kendrick "only" doing 325k is just because of the 5 year wait. I bet this woulda done 370k-400k if he dropped it this time last year. Over 400k easy if it was dropped in 2020

lots of people have just moved on. especially teenagers. The same would happen to Drake if he disappeared for 5 years

Are these projections counting it as a double album meaning he only really sold like 175k albums or will the final sales amount to like 700k

Or am I imagining that that’s how double albums get counted at all

Only gets counted as a double album if the run time is like 1 hr 30 mins

  • May 15, 2022

It doesn’t meet the time requirements to be a double album so these numbers aren’t doubled

  • May 15, 2022

Oh damn. Nigga was like three songs away lmao

Another excuse. No one told him to disappear for 5 years in his prime years. He chose to do that and now he'll face whatever consequences come with that.

They had all the tough talk about the album's quality and commercial performance before it dropped but now that the album is out and they're seeing real-life interactions with the album and how the songs aren't really holding peoples' attention, there's every excuse in the book. It's really funny.
