Sales used to be a thing only industry heads and music media cared about a few decades ago. Worst trend of streaming era is the numbers are published and everybody become an expert lol. They're fun to track sometimes, yeah, but the convo around them has been way more mainstream lately and it's been weird tbh. Yes, I'm kind of an old head.

For real. I think sales are interesting sometimes… like when something like Robin Thicke’s “Paula” happens where it sells like 15 copies in some countries, that’s pretty funny to me. But stuff like who had the bigger #1 debut and which #1 debut is considered “disappointing” relative to others… nah. At that point it’s all successful really, just different levels of huge success.
