Bad Bunny has found a way to tap into the Latin audience in the US in a way no other artist in the last 5-8 years has. That's the key to his success in the US.
Anybody taking posts like Bad Bunny is bigger than Drake off one album seriously needs therapy, and anybody making those statements seriously is dumb
he’s bigger than drake, globally
bigger than Drake in the US is probably untrue although there really isn’t a concrete way to tell
one direction did it under 5 easy
they were probably the biggest industry push since Bieber

Ironic since the numbers show Drake is bigger in the US meanwhile there’s no way of knowing who is bigger globally till that report comes out lol

donda's the 45th highest selling album of the year so far

He got the Latin demographic on lock. I definitely see him being bigger outside US for sure
If somehow a black r&b/pop/hiphop artist could strongly appeal to all the black cultures around the world with their look and sound, it could be a similar phenomenon
Hnvm a flop masterpiece
What did drake sell in ibiza

Didn’t Michael Jackson do this?
YHLQMDLG has sold over 2 mil in the US and is still selling well. Let’s not act like Un Verano Sin Ti is Bad Bunny’s breakthrough here.
Don't feel like that for any album nowadays. Hype gon be there on release day tho
This is his breakthrough album in the US and to a large extent, globally. I get the trolls wanna insist he's bigger than Drake but there's no bigger act in the US than Drake. Drake is so big in the US that despite his new album not performing as well as his albums usually do, he'll still be ending the year as the bestselling/ most streamed artist in the US lol.
Bad Bunny has one major album era under his belt. Now it's left to see how many more he can have and then for how long he can keep that going. We saw Post Malone go from scorching hot with 3 massive albums back to back to really cold in the span of 3 years. There were other Latin acts who were burning brighter than Bad Bunny in 2017/2018 but they've since cooled off and he's now the #1 guy in that space.
It's silly to compare anyone to Drake success-wise because his dominance has lasted 13+ years and he's still the biggest. That's hard for anyone to replicate. I'd advise people to just enjoy Bad Bunny's success for what it is but folks always wanna compare people to Drake and then get mad when those people eventually cool off and Drake stans say "I told you so."
Even with Morgan Wallen. No telling if he'll be able to replicate the success of this album with future albums. We've just gotta wait and see what happens in the future.
Lol divine this giving
But imagine if Scop did more post release outside the one videos. Hella singles coulda popped from Scorpion and CLB.
And Drake dominating streaming is mostly because he drops the most. He's dropped a project every year since 2013
We gonna act like you not obsessed with Drake?
What's the problem. We all are
