I think if I remember correctly he ultimately sold somewhere between 20k - 40k in stemplayers in those weeks teasing the album. Don’t agree with the tactic since the album was never finished but that’s a cool 4 to 8 million dollars in revenue. I think it was officially reported he brought in 2.2 million in dollars in one day, independently.

Well to be fair, it has to be an apples to oranges comparison for this specific album because of the price point and the format of release. It’s literally apples to oranges. So it’s hard to gauge its success through a billboard chart. As for Donda 1 versus CLB, obviously CLB is more commercially successful but I think Donda 1 performed very well for where Kanye is career wise.
