Kendrick album sucked
bad bunny absolutely washing kendrick with a better album wasn’t what i expected from 2022 but here we are
YouTube US streams for songs off albums count, yes.
They count for less right
It wasn't for me but he did what he set out to do artistically and ultimately, that's really all that matters. It underperformed but he can return next year with an album more in the vein of DAMN. and smash like nothing happened.
UU was much better and it was an album of leftovers
This thread is always either Drake stans patting each other on the back for his catalogue doing crazy numbers or Drake stans making excuses for why his album this year isn't selling as well as other major artists' albums
Yall have a whole section already, do you really need another thread dedicated to d***riding Drake?

Here's the official announcement. Doesn't say anything about tiers.

I don't agree but to each his own. I have my 5 songs off MMATBS that I still bump and I'm good with that.

I’ll take a look. Always thought it was premium stream 1 = 1200 and ad supported 1 ~ 2400

No. As it stands, for audio streams, there are two tiers:
TIER 1: premium/paid subscription audio streams (equating 1,250 streams to 1 album unit).
TIER 2: free/ad-supported audio streams (equating 3,750 streams to 1 album unit).
Now they're mad Drake's catalog is the strongest amongst his peers and that he's still outselling everyone despite Honestly, Nevermind underperforming
Insane

it's literally borderline consensus that it isn't
yeah bro this wasn't just a well intentioned sales thread
this thread was a covert kendrick hate thread, she leveraged it later to be the sales thread
that's why i have the first post on this thread parroting the same "lol sales dont = quality who cares abt sales" s*** @RedEyeJedi
I made the thread because on Twitter, a Kendrick stan said he'd do 1M first week since DAMN did 600k and people legit dragged her ass and informed her that times were different now and even the biggest artists weren't doing those numbers. I knew KTT bros would say similar stuff and that's what prompted me to make the thread. I'd have done the same if people were suggesting a new Cole or Drake or Travis or Kanye album would do 1M first week but believe whatever you will.
on Twitter
yeah there needs to be a ban on Twitter threads
Actually had that in the post but I removed it Them whining about marketing and "Let's see Beyonce do these numbers if this and that happened" comes across as so insecure and bitter
it's insane because he literally helped out on the album like you'd think drake stans would be happy for her
i guess not

This is Bad Bunny’s 4th classic album in the span of 4 years.
He just built different tbh.

He drops a new project every year lol. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.

He dropped a project this year that underperformed and yet, he's outdoing everybody. What does that mean?
