Pop and Rap are the 2 most popular genres. It makes sense to compare them, especially since people were claiming Weeknd was the biggest artist in the world. House on the other hand is completely dead.

this is so incorrect, I'm the first one to admit it if I don't like something he has released or done. I was one of the loudest critics when CLB dropped and I was pretty tough on my judgement of ''Falling Back''

Renaissance went from 138K to ~77K units from streaming.
77K SEA equals about 90-100m streams for Renaissance’s 2nd week.

The 13k pure sales are due to under shipping in stores and websites/box sets/vinyls are reportedly all sold out.

Looks like she underestimated her physical selling power. Once she restocks, the numbers should spike again

Hopefully her streaming stabilizes in the coming weeks
She has some promo/visuals in the works, so this is a decent start. Once she drops the touring dates this Fall it’s OVER lol.

Beyonce's career is objectively legendary, and yet because she's still here in the mainstream cranking hits despite the length of her career, she is being treated like a wash up new comer that fizzled out after a couple eras (I.E- most of the pop stars/rappers yall stan).

She jus received a 7th number 1 album and song in the country 19 years after her debut
Scored 180 million streams first week and is doing 90k this week .. which is on par with artists that debut 8 to 10 years after her

For an artist like Beyonce, a member of the ‘old guard’, she will most definitely consistently sell physicals once she restocks shelves/online purchases.. she’s got some promo lined up.. SNL, Netflix, late night shows.. things she hasn’t touched in a decade. This is most definitely her last circle around the sun for the foreseeable future. Beyonce has always been a physical seller.. most of us are still waiting for the opportunity to purchase physicals tbh

She already started teasing something about Aug. 20th

Even artists like Post Malone, Ariana, Ed Sheehan etc are already losing massive steam and they’re just finding their footing after peaking less than 3-4 years ago, jus tells you the shelf life for this industry is smaller than ever
