Trying to compare More Life for a W is legitimately the equivalent of trying to say Drake was bigger than Wayne in 2010 because Thank Me Later outdid I Am Not A Human Being, while ignoring Tha Carter 3 and 4.

Drake is the biggest artist in the world, Kendrick won 2017. It’s okay Drake stans, he’ll be alright
Birds was an album, promoted and marketed as an album. More Life was a side project Drake announced as a side project back in 2016. It was supposed to drop before that year was over but it ended up dropping in March the following year but at no point did anyone ever think it was another album so I don't get how you're so fixed on this "More Life is not a side project" thing. Anything outside of his 6 official studio albums is a side project. What's so hard to understand about that?

For context for yall that weren't around, IANAHB1 was a digital purchase only release which was unheard of at the time, and released while Wayne was in jail. It actually sold more 3rd week when Physicals were released than it's first week

I was on KTT when that album dropped. It was anticipated in the same regard that a Drake studio album gets. You’re not rewriting the history now because Kendrick outsold him.

I’m not desperate for anything. I like Drake more than I like Kendrick. But at the same time I understand how to be unbiased and fair in these discussions.

How is it Drake's fault that a project he CLEARLY STATED WAS A SIDE PROJECT GOT THE SAME ANTICIPATION AS A STUDIO ALBUM? F*** yes, it did, it's Drake. Everyone anticipates anything he drops lol. Doesn't change the fact that it's still a side project because he made sure to tell us that it was.
Like I said earlier, if Drake had confirmed the release of IYRTITL/WATTBA/DLDT months before they dropped like he did with More Life, they'd have been anticipated like albums, too
