Most established artists and producers don’t want to be associated with DaBaby after that incident and the ones that are up and coming definitely don’t want to risk their careers at all. So he’s stuck with mid production and mid features.

His only real feasible chance of a comeback is if Ye feels bad enough for him to produce an entire album for him and make him perfect it. Don’t think Ye has the time for that right now though.

uh since the incident he’s dropped songs with:
    Justin Bieber
    Kanye West
    Lil Wayne
    NBA Youngboy
    Young Thug
    Polo G
    Moneybagg Yo
    Toosii

    he’s gotten beats from

    jetsonmade
    DA Doman
    Pooh
    ATL Jacob
    Charlie Heat

wtf does he need dude lol

The quality of music doesn’t mean anything tbh. Dudes been praising Tory on here saying he’s been making the best of music and it don’t even make waves. Once the machine doesn’t want you winning, they’ll make sure you stay down no matter how “good” the music sound.

People just got tired of DaBaby's s***. You're giving too much credit to "the Machine."

He has JetsonMade all over this album like all his other projects. People just moved on y’all doing this most with excuses lol

This is really just it. Now it's all excuses about him being cancelled. People just became aware of them being able to do without dude's music. It also doesn't help that he's only doubled down on his silly antics in a fit to "keep being himself" lol. He had a good 2/3 year run but yeah, that s*** is pretty much over now. Same is probably true for Megan Thee Stallion as well but she at least still has the mainstream looks to make herself appear more commercially relevant than she actually is.

Didn't Ye executive produce an album for Fivio Foreign who seemed to have all the hype in the world going for him and yet that album still flopped like crazy? He also had mad features on there. If people don't connect with the music, it doesn't matter what you do.

  • Sep 28, 2022

It was excusable in 2019 because he was still new to a mainstream audience and he was smart to be on a couple of bangers in 2020 but it's all gone downhill since then.

  • Sep 28, 2022

'The Machine' talk also isn't true because he still gets looks on playlists/banners on streaming platforms. People just don't care for his music anymore; people pick whatever reason they want for that but it's definitely happening.

Yeah they got tired of his s*** after RL which is my point lol. Before that he had songs buzzing, even if they weren’t Suge level. You can’t beat the machine, that’s just facts.

Yeah that’s played out and he has no room or industry support to branch out from that sound.

Which Bieber song? The one on Justice came out in March 2021, RL was in July. Also which Thug song after July 2021? Getting a Wayne feature hasn’t been hot in a minute. Ye is the only one that is legit.

The rest of the features you listed aren’t notable.
Just look at Baby on Baby 2; no way it drops in that form with basically no features if RL never happened

Even baby minor hits before RL were getting pushed. That push stopped after RL so it’s not some reach that Rl played a huge part in his downfall. Niggas wanna talk about quality like there aren’t dudes that’s cancelled dropping nice music that ain’t making rounds. Mfs said that incident would be his downfall but now wanna move the goalpost and try to minimize the effect of it just to get their takes off. Mfs gotta stop trying to make hating baby their identity man lol.

bro people just got tired of the nigga. it happens all the time, he wasn’t a rare talent. even before RL, the people I talked to irl who I’d describe as casual fans of his were getting sick of him. hell, even you got sick of him lol

your whole profile revolved around stanning DaBaby at one point but didn’t you admit recently that his music has fallen off hard? so imagine how the most of the public feels

I was sick of him cause I felt like he was too good of a hit maker to keep doing stupid stuff. Then him doubling down on the homophobia made it hard to defend him when he was making being a villain in rap his identity lol. Then after a while I felt like his music just wasn’t the same as pre RL. I think I made that thread only a few months back after wig dropped. But when you put it in perspective like that I fasho see what you mean lmao.

I’ll admit both things can be true. RL did damage but his music within the last 5ish months hasn’t been the best and when you have your back on the wall you’re supposed to go crazy so I see what y’all saying.

    Crazy.

He basically created the most ideal situation for people to forget about him. He's 100% to blame for all the s*** he's seeing right now and you can tell he legit believed his villain s*** would fly once again and the people who f***ed with his music back then would support his s*** again. Clearly, that didn't work.
