I always thought that double album should mean double the sales numbers like pac with All Eyes On Me and The Love Below/speakerboxx
So if it sold 500 for ex shouldn't it equal 1000 for a double album?
It's mad confusing
That rule is for the RIAA not billboard. It says that if a double album is certified gold, each album is gold and the whole thing can be considered platinum. (This is my understanding). RIAA counts sales different than billboard, they allow single sales to be added to album sales etc.
Billboard just counts total consumption. Streams (Radio Programmed as well) + Sales (Digital Downloads, Physicals if shipped). So the length would not affect the total consumption at all.
Someone smarter will correct me if I'm wrong.
They acting like people go “oh this brand new Drake project isn’t a studio album? Not listening!!!”
I don’t now why you’re acting like this isn’t a verifiable fact that the public takes note of that s***

Mixtapes sell less. That’s a fact. Casual consumers aren’t checking for it as much as something that marketing as a studio album

Damn I thought Die Hard would be the hit single for the album..

Mirror deserves that last place , the only trash song on the album
Acting like More Life doesn’t count because he labeled it a “playlist” is delusional because:
1. It’s the same length as all of his studio albums since Views
2. It received the same barebones minimum promo that CLB received in the lead up to its released
3. It had a single released from it months before release (three technically, but two of them didn’t make the project)
4. It has more high profile features than almost every single one of his other projects
And yes, it lost a day of tracking, Donda lost three days and Drake stans still compared it to CLB all the same, which they should have.
Bro it's as simple as the artist called it a mixtap so it's a mixtape lol

Beastmode 2 was announced a day before release and it’s 30 minutes long, this is an awful example.
It was basically a surprise EP sequel to a free mixtape, of course it wasn’t selling as much as those three albums
Bro it's as simple as the artist called it a mixtap so it's a mixtape lol
More life is his best project since IYRTITL
Damn I thought Die Hard would be the hit single for the album..
I think it'll still be a single. I think N95, Silent Hill, Die Hard will be singles.

Okay well then Wrld on D****. That s*** only sold 98k despite both artists’ studio albums doing better than that

That’s not even what I’m arguing, read the entire conversation before inserting yourself into it

moves goalposts

Collab album, they always sell a little less than the two artists sell on their own
moves goalposts
I’m not moving the goalpost at all.
Beastmode 2 is significantly shorter than all of Future’s albums, was announced a day before release, and is a sequel to a previous free mixtape.
More Life is an hour and a half long, has pop crossover appeal, numerous high profile features, follows the Drake album formula, was announced months in advance, and has a lead singleZ
Beastmode 2 is more in line with IYRTITL and DLDT. Actual side projects/mixtapes.
More Life is a Drake studio album disguised as a “playlist”.
Collab album, they always sell a little less than the two artists sell on their own
And so do mixtapes
I don’t see how you can recognize that and so clearly ignore what’s right in front of you with mixtapes. Idk why the public doesn’t lock in like they do when they’re told something is an album but they don’t. Across the board.
That’s not even what I’m arguing, read the entire conversation before inserting yourself into it
Imo more life sold like that because people were already dissapointed with views .
Scorpion sold a lot because of the pusha beef and commercially successful single like hotline bling , with CLB it was because of this stupid beef with ye , otherwise i dont see why CLB sold so much this album is pure garbage it really is a mystery

You're really pathetic. Hours later and you're still here going at it and nobody will ever agree to what you're saying because it's false. Imagine using track length, features and the success of a project to suggest it's not a side project when the artist who made the project told you months before it dropped that it wasn't a studio album.
You big dumb.

Because when most artists drop a mixtape they announce it last minute and don’t market it whatsoever. IYRTITL, DLDT.
The thing with More Life is that it was announced months in advance, had a lead single, and has the same length / sound / feature list of a Drake studio album. That’s the point I’m making.
