Hip-hop fans (or to be really specific, us black people) don't buy albums in anymore.

It’s also cause artists like drake gave up on em, I can find 40 Billie eilish albums on a shelf at target, but maybe only 2 rap albums

Because he’s only 1 person
You don’t see 6 country singers selling 200k+ first week in 2023

Country music one of the few modern genres with that good family vibe

Yeah pop and rap really underestimate the value of music that everyone can hear and play.

Fair point
Country is the only major US genre that is inherently four quadrant. Aka country appeals to boys/girls/men/women because it’s country (which makes up for the lack of overt racial crossover like, say, hiphop has). So when it’s really good like Morgan, it’s gonna do crazy ass numbers
Other genres have to go out of their way to have that appeal. Never forget that

Rap would have to leave generic trap behind to be relevant again. These new guys ain't T.I. or Jeezy, whole album sounds the same these days.

imo this applies 2 hip hop as well

I can agree with this as well.

The sad thing is that this won't happen for a long while
